Cardy Uggs

November 23, 2009

Meet the new addition to my family of UGG boots, the new Classic Cardy by UGG Australia. Now I’m not one to spend a ton of money on shoes, I would rather buy a cute pair of shoes at Target then blow a couple hundred dollars on some designer pumps. But when it comes to my beloved little UGG boots,  I’ll spend the money. Fortunately, I’ve lucked out by receiving most of my UGGs as gifts for birthdays or Christmas (thanks mommy!)

I’ve usually just gone with the classic, sheepskin boots but decided to switch it up this year and go for the more versatile, knit boot. You can wear them buttoned up and tall, short and scrunched or fold them over and pair with leggings, tights, skinny jeans, you name it.

You can find these on the UGG Australia website for $140.00

to Ugg or not to Ugg

So here we are, it’s September 28th in good ‘ol Central New York and we are being graced with torrential downpours instead of the occasional sprinkle of leaves. Normally I wouldn’t question the always unpredictable weather we are having but when it causes me 45 minutes of pondering what footwear to put on that day, then we have issues.

I’m just sayin’….all summer I have been treating my feet to cute sandals and fun patterned flats, but now I’m faced with the decision of putting on leather boots, painful heels or my beloved Ugg boots. Here’s the dilemma though, when exactly is the calendar date for Uggs? Some would say “whenever! uggs are all weather shoes,” some would say ”not until the first snow fall,” and some would say “NEVER.”

I guess my decision will just have to lay in the hands of Mother Nature. I’m sure as heck not waiting until the snow falls to put on those heavenly, furry boots; but I suppose I’ll just have to resort to my polka-dotted rain boots until this rain lets up and lets me properly dress my feet.
